self-healing XPEL paint protection film
Preserving and maintaining your vehicle's appearance is our passion, and paint protection film offers us an unparalleled means to do so. Paint protection film (often referred to as a clear bra or PPF) goes by several different names and is available from several manufacturers. Based on our experience with various product lines, we've found that XPEL Paint Protection Film ULTIMATE PLUS offers the best combination of finish, performance, durability. XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film has the added benefit of being self-healing, a feature unique to this film.
The paint protection film is a thermoplastic urethane self-healing film engineered to protect against damage caused by rock chips, insects, minor abrasions. Not to mention, in our harsh Wisconsin climate, PPF is an excellent shield for your vehicle's paint against road salt and brine during the winter months.
While several Milwaukee area detailers offer PPF services, we obsess over every detail. If possible, we will wrap the edges, preventing the clear bra from curling, peeling, and defeating the reason why you implemented it, to begin with..
This upgraded package includes up to 8 years of coating durability, nearly double the Classic package.
Ideal for owners who want the best coating available and superior long term performance.

Hydrophobic Properties
Increased Gloss
A ceramic coating also deepens the paint's natural gloss, giving the finish a wet, glass like look that holds up long after a fresh wax would have faded. Because the coating bonds directly to the clear coat rather than sitting on top of it, that extra depth and reflectivity sticks around through months of regular washing instead of disappearing after the first few trips through a car wash.
Hydrophobic Properties
The hydrophobic surface is often the first thing owners notice after a ceramic coating. Water beads up and rolls off the paint instead of sitting flat and drying into spots, which means dirt, bugs, and road grime have a much harder time sticking in the first place. For Elm Grove drivers, that translates into faster, easier washes and noticeably less scrubbing to get the same clean result.

A ceramic coating also deepens the paint's natural gloss, giving the finish a wet, glass like look that holds up long after a fresh wax would have faded. UV Resistance
Wisconsin's long summer days put a lot of UV exposure on a vehicle's finish, and that exposure is one of the main reasons an unprotected clear coat eventually looks dull or oxidized. A ceramic coating resists that fading far better than bare paint, helping the color and gloss stay consistent season after season.

Popular Questions about paint protection film
What is preferred, PPF or Ceramic Coating?
It is important to keep in mind that these are two very different services offered by Exquisite Auto Spa. Ceramic coating provides a shine, hydrophobic characteristics and properties to allow easier cleaning. Paint protection film is a protective barrier that drastically reduces impacts, swirls, scratches and other contaminants visible to the eye from entering the clear coat for five years.
Can You Ceramic Coat Over PPF?
Absolutely! You can add a ceramic coating over your paint protection film, as it gives the film additional hydrophobic and gloss properties while making the vehicle easier to clean.
How Do I Wash My Vehicle After PPF Application?
Handwashing your vehicle is always preferred, as “soft touch” car washes tend to rub abrasive residue leftover from previous customers against your paint. Even “touchless” car washes can damage your paint due to their use of hard chemicals and high pressure water jets.
Nonetheless, you can use an automatic car wash, but we recommend you wait at least 7 days from the time of application.
How Deep of a Scratch Will PPF Self-Heal?
This film’s top coat is designed to self-heal surface scratches and swirl marks that commonly occur during routine vehicle washing. It is possible for a significant impact to penetrate the film’s top coat, which will not self-heal. But, unless the impact is severe, the film will likely still prevent your actual finish from damage.
Overall, the cost of paint protection film far outweighs the cost and hassle associated with repainting and/or replacing multiple vehicle panels.
